Who we are
League City Pets Alive aka Friends of League City Animal Shelter is a 501(c)3 nonprofit. Our purpose is stop the senseless killing of companion animals and maintain the "NO KILL" status of League City.
We acquire donations or raise funds for the purchase of services and supplies not covered by the City budget. Funds are used for veterinary care, medical supplies, food, related animal supplies, shelter supplies, and volunteer expenses.
What we do?
2,368 lost, homeless, or abandoned pets entered the League City Shelter in 2018. HAPPILY more than 96% left alive.
Through donations and community support we are able to provide what the City Budget does not provide.
Many of the animals brought into the Shelter need veterinary care, medicine, medical supplies, and enrichments.
When the Shelter gets full, animals are moved to foster homes which we financially support. Animals aren't euthanized for space or predetermined
length of stay.
Your donations and support provide...
Acute, comprehensive, spay/neuter, and heartworm treatment.
